*Warrenton (WAR) From North

Exit 9 off the beltway (Rt 495), take I-66 west 21 miles to Exit 43A Gainsville / Warrenton). Take US-29 southwest 11.5 miles where road forks near Warrenton.Stay in the left two lanes marked “Culpeper / Fredericksburg” and go under the overpass. Continue south for 1.1 miles and tke exit for VA-643/Meetze Rd. Turn right on Meetze Rd.which becomes Lee St. after stop sign at top of the hill.Continue on Lee St.0.8 miles into Old Town Warrenton. Just past the Fauquier County Court House, turn left into the public parking lot adjacent to Sherrif’s Office.

From the South: VA-29 north past the first Warrenton exit to Meezte Rd. Exit. Turn left on Meetze Rd.which becomes Lee St. after stop sign at top of the hill.Continue on Lee St.0.8 miles into Old Town Warrenton. Just past the Fauquier County Court House, turn left into the public parking lot adjacent to Sherrif’s Office.

Remington (MPS)

From the North: Exit 9 off the beltway (Rt 495), take I-66 west 21 miles to Exit 43A Gainsville / Warrenton). Take US-29 southwest 24 miles to Remington. Turn left onto business 29 just past VA-28. Proceed1.4 miles to school on right (Margaret Pierce Elem. School)

Brandy Fair Grounds

From the north: Rt 29 south (from Rt 66) past Warrenton to Brandy. This is a right on Rt 663 at the 3rd blinking light past the Rt 28/29 intersection. Immediate right again on 685. Look for ballfield/fairgrounds .25 on left.

From the south: Rt 29 north past Culpeper to Brandy. Left at Rt 663. Immediate right on 685. Look for ballfield/fairgrounds .25 on left.

Freedom Fields Farms (Alex Forte’s Home)

From Culpeper: Follow Rt.15 about 12 miles south towards Orange.  At flashing light (on right), take a right onto Oak Park Rd (Rt. 634), and continue about 1.5 miles.  Freedom Fields Farm is the first house on the left after the bridge.  Look for a black mail box on the right and round, black/gold sign with a fox emblem next to driveway on the left.  If you reach the dairy farm on your left, you have gone too far!  *Stop at gate box half way up driveway to enter code (7669, enter) and wait for iron gate to open (please be careful of dogs and other farm animals when entering property).

From 29/Mt. Zion Church: Follow Oak Park Rd/Rt. 634 toward Rt.15.  About 1.5 miles after the post office/country store and next to the dairy farm, look for a round, black/gold Freedom Fields Farm sign with a fox emblem next to a driveway on the right and across from a black mailbox.  If you reach the little bridge you have gone too far!

Culpeper (Bike Stop)

From the North: Go 29 south. Take the first Culpeper exit, Bus. 29. Follow this into town. It eventually turns into Main St. Go to the fifth light. The first right after the fifth light will be Culpeper St. Parking area on left

From the South: Go 29 North. Take the fourth Culpeper exit, Bus. 29. Follow this into town. It eventually turns into Main St. Go to the fifth light. The first right after the fifth light will be Culpeper St. Parking area on left.

Eastern View High School

To keep things uniform with other rides.  We will park at the Main Entrance to the school. 

From the stop light on Route 29 Bypass.  Turn onto Green’s Corner Road.  0.2 mile turn left on Cyclone Way and then straight through to the school and follow around to the main entrance.  Park in the big lot in front of the main entrance.

Directions from Mtn. Run Lake:

  • Left on to Mtn. Run Lake Road
  • Right on Norman Rd
  • Right on to 522 South/Sperryville Pike
  • Right on Virginia Ave (the one immediately after Yowell Drive, with the model home on the corner)
  • Straight through the 1st intersection (Kearns/Virginia)
  • Right on Windermere Drive
  • 542 is the 8th house on the right, at the corner of Windermere/Greenbriar.

***DO NOT PARK on the sidewalk side of the road.  They WILL write tickets for that…

Mountain Run Lake Park

From Culpeper: South on 29 out of Culpeper turn right on Mtn Run Lake Rd (at the Shell station at the flashing yellow light). Mtn Run Lake Park will be a couple of miles in on the left side.  Park at the second entrance.

Faith Mountain, Sperryville (Old Sperryville Emporium)

From North of Culpeper: Rt 29 to Rt 3 exit. Follow rt3 / 522 into Culpeper. Follow signs through town. Make the left off of Main St onto 522 towards Sperryville. Faith Mountain will be on your right when you get to the 522/211 intersection. It takes about a half hour from Culpeper.

Rt 29 to Brandy, turn onto Alanthus.  Take Alanthus to Mt. Zion.  Left on Mt. Zion.  Left onto Reid Hill .  Left onto Pond View.  Park perpendicular to road in grass at circle at the end of the road.  We are the only house on
the circle.

From South Business 29 / 29 Bypass interchange.  Take 29 south for approximately 8 miles.  Entrance to Prince Michel is on the right.  Park in the large lot at the southern end of the property.  You can access the lot from the northern entrance by going by the main building, down the hill to the parking lot or the southern entrance which leads directly to the lot.

Nolley’s House

Nolley’s house is on Will Lane Boston VA.  7 miles west of Culpeper on route 522 (toward Sperryville)  It is 0.2 miles past Griffinsburg Rd on the left and is gravel. Their house is the first house on the right (brick two story comtemporary). There is plenty of parking in their drive and along Will Lane.

Hoover’s House (7343 Covington Home Place)

From Culpeper: Take Route 29 South and turn right onto Mtn. Run Lake Road at the flashing yellow light.  At the end of Mtn. Run Lake Rd.,  turn left onto Norman Road.  Go approx. 1 mile and turn right onto Rillhurst drive (the 2nd Rillhurst entrance) Go approx. 0.5 miles and take the 1st left onto Covington Home Place.  We are the 3rd house on the right.  The house sits off the road a bit and the driveway is narrow but there will be plenty of room to park along the road on both sides.

Bobby Elkins House

Route 15 South.  Cross over Route 29 and continue south for 0.7 miles.  Turn right on Madison Road  (Route 299)  Go 0.1 mile  and Turn left onto Old Orange Rd.  Go 0.7 miles and turn right onto Clair Manor Rd.  Go 0.4 miles and turn right onto Edge Hill Place and follow to end of Cal-de-sac.   19085 Edge Hill Place.

Kinchloe’s Lot

From Route 29 South: From Culpeper go South on Rt 29 to the Reva Road (Reva Market on the corner)  Turn right onto Reva Road.  Go 0.4 mile and bear left and continue on Reva Road.  Follow for approx. 3.7 miles.  Property is 100 yards past the intersection with Oakland Road and is on the left.  Green garage on property

From Route 522 West:  From Culpeper go west on Route 522.  Turn left on Griffinsburg Road.  Follow for 2.7 miles and make sharp left bend onto Shanktown Road.  Follow 0.8 miles to intersection with Reva Road.  Turn right on Reva Road and follow for approx. 1 mile.  Property is 100 yards past the intersection with Oakland Road and is on the left.  Green garage on property.

Kinchloe’s House

From Culpeper: 29 South about 4 1/2 miles Right on 740 (Burmingham Rd) Go to the end of road (about 1 mile off 29) Go around the house to the shed.

Tom Reynolds (1076 Oaklawn Drive)

Turn off business 29 between the Methodist church and the physicians office onto Oaklawn drive. Go to the top of the hill and turn left . Then bear right down the hill (this is all Oaklawn drive). Our house is the 3rd on the right and is two stories with a brick wall along the driveway.

Brandy Station Episcopal Church

Directions from Culpeper: Head north on 29 to Brandy Station and instead of making the left at the light to go to the fairgrounds, turn right. The church is white and is on the right within 100 yards of making the turn. Parking is available at the church with additional parking across the road.

Madison Starts

NOTE:  Many of the Cue Sheets for the Madison Rides mention starting at the Wrangler Plant (across from McDonalds/Amoco).  The Wrangler Plant is no longer there, it has been replaced by MWP Supply.  For these rides, it would be better to park your vehicle at Waverly Yowell School rather than use MWP Supply’s parking lot.  To get to Waverly Yowell School, go west on Washington St from the McDonalds/Amoco to Main Street.  Turn Right on Main St and Waverly Yowell School will be about 1/4 mile down Main St on your right.  The mileage figures on the Cue Sheets will only be about 1/2 mile off.

Waverly Yowell School

From Culpeper: Take 29S to first light in Madison (just past 7-11), turn right onto Main St/29 Business, Waverly Yowell will be about 1/2 mile on your left.

From the South, left at traffic light at McDonalds/Amoco in Madison, continue to Right on Main St. in Madison, Waverly Yowell will be about 1/4 mile on your right.

Brightwood Store

Route 29 South to Brightwood: After pass the small post office on the left side of the ride, make the next right onto Ridgeview Road (Rte. 607).  Follow for 0.2 miles.  Brightwood Store is on the left with limited parking at the store or turn right onto gravel drive that will lead to additional parking in an open field.

Mt. Zion UMC, Oak Park

Mt. Zion United Methodist Church on Rt. 635 near Oak Park.

From Madison, take 634 from light at McDonalds/Amoco 5.6 miles to R on 635.

From Culpeper, take Rt. 15 South about 11 miles to Locust Dale, turn right on 634, go 3.8 miles to L on Rt. 635. Go 3/10 mile down Rt. 635 and Mt. Zion will be on the left, brick church.

Criglersville School

From Culpeper:  Rt. 29 South, approximately 8 miles to Right turn on Rt. 609.  Stay on 609 until it intersects Rt. 231 (about 9.3 miles).  Turn right on 231, then make a left on Rt 670.  Criglersville School will be on the right, soon after you pass the little “town” of Criglersville.
